(Reading, PA) - Consumers in the market for a pre-owned vehicle can now get free insider tips from a professional car buyer. In a new video entitled “How To Buy a Used Car,” auto trader Mike Bowers takes viewers through the same steps that he uses to evaluate approximately 1000 used cars each month.
Mike is a partner in John’s Great Cars, a family-owned dealership near Reading, PA, with a reputation for high quality pre-owned vehicles. As the dealership’s main buyer, he spends most of his days visiting car auctions, wholesalers, other dealers and private owners. Of the thousand or so vehicles he considers during an average month, he usually ends up purchasing around 100.
In other words, Mike Bowers sees a lot of cars and has to make smart decisions fast.
“There’s not a lot of luck, magic or mystery, just seven main steps,” explains Mike, who takes viewers through each of those steps in the 10-minute video, which recently debuted on YouTube and is featured on Preferred Warranties website, www.warrantys.com.
As it details each of the steps, the video also shows how to detect tricks that unscrupulous sellers might use to hide problems or defects.
The video was produced by Preferred Warranties, a leader in extended service contracts for pre-owned vehicles.
“We expect this video to be helpful to our dealers as well as the car-buying public,” explains Wayne Herring, Jr., Preferred’s national sales manager. “Our new website was designed to help consumers choose the right pre-owned vehicle as well as the right extended protection plan, and this video fits perfectly with that vision.”
