Contact us before allowing the shop to do any repairs. Work done without the authorization of
Preferred Warranties, Inc. will not be covered. We offer three methods of starting your claim with PWI:
Our adjusters are available during normal business hours to process your claims:
Monday thru Friday — 8:30am to 6:00pm EST
Saturdays — 9:00am to 12:30pm EST
When contacting PWI, you will be asked for a description of the problem, when the problem occurred, and whether the vehicle is in a repair shop.
If the vehicle is not in a repair shop, we may be able to help you find a reputable repair shop in your area. After collecting this information, the claims
adjuster will ask you to authorize the shop to do a diagnosis of the vehicle. Please be sure the shop understands to only perform a diagnosis of the problem
and report all findings to your PWI claims adjuster.
As soon as the shop contacts PWI with the diagnosis, our expert claims adjuster will review the diagnosis from the shop and issue a claims authorization number for all covered items.
The shop may proceed with the repairs after receiving the authorization number.
Once you have verified that all repairs were made to your satisfaction and we've received the invoice, your claim will be processed and paid by check or credit card.
